Located in the Sierra Nevadas, the 75 acre Brownfield site once contained two large gold mines during the 1800's Gold Rush. Later the site became a sawmill and plywood plant. The mining waste rock and industrial chemicals, such as PCP, fuel spills and wood treating chemicals, used over the years demanded mitigation efforts for environmental restoration.
Carlton Engineering's Environmental Specialists provided investigation and remedial consultation to the client. With remediation complete in 2005, Carlton will continue to provide Water Quality Monitoring.
